Maybe, but a lot of people have issues folding on dissimilar GPU's. The other 2 GTS250 GPUs could be used for folding while while the other is used for PhysXĪlso buying 3 GTX275 co-ops would be cheaper then buying 3 GTX295 if you want to use 6 GPUs for folding The marketing appeal of the card is that you can put it in a system with other 275s without having the space/power/heat/cost of the stand-alone 250. Your alternate hypothesis also does not make any sense yes, you can run multiple 275 co-ops in SLI, but that would be pointless since 1 or 2 of the extra 250 GPUs would be inoperative, and you'd have wasted a bunch of money. I am telling you this is the way it works with 100% confidence. Although I do not have a more specific link, it's been confirmed by EVGA in the past. I think this is an unreasonable amount of doubt. Of course it would be possible to SLI 3 of them together, but two different versions of GTX275? It doesn't specify.Īlright, let's not nit-pick the fact that the link doesn't explicitly say the words "275 NORMAL and 275 Co-op". That link doesn't necessarily say that it is possible. Yes you can, make sure the memory sizes match though (896MB) Also you can SLI 2 CO-OPs together, but you would lose one of the functionality on the 250s since PhysX cannot be slid. This card gives you the ability to run SLI + PhysX, or 3-way SLI + PhysX on any motherboard that supports it! Re:GTX 275 Co-op Physx question Sunday, Febru0:37 PM ( ) EVGAJacobF. It is exactly like running 1-3 275s + a separate GTS 250, that's how the drivers treat it. You can run the GTX 275 Co-op in SLI with regular 275s.
